What’s Yule Log

Now in it’s 4th year, Yule Log 2.0 is a collection of short films created by various artists that are bringing the Yule Log tradition into the digital age.

Why Do It?

It’s an opportunity to showcase your work alongside some of the most talented artists in the world. It’s also a chance to make a difference. We’re raising funds to support Camp Interactive in the Bronx, NY. It’s a place where kids can learn to code (and canoe).

Who’s Judging?

Justin Cone

Justin Cone is the creator of Motionographer.com, sharing the best in motion design, animation and digital storytelling since 2006. Justin has also worked in various capacities at Psyop, NBC-Universal, Adobe, Apple and SCAD during his 15 year career.


Michelle Higa Fox

Michelle Higa Fox is an artist and filmmaker. Her directorial work has earned an ADC Young Guns award and Best Music Video at SXSW. In 2012, she founded Slanted Studios, a boutique that specializes in exceptional, mixed-media animation for emerging technology.


Jorge R. Canedo

Jorge R. Canedo Estrada, also known as Jr.canest, is an animator & creative director. In the past, he has been part of the team at Buck and later at Giant Ant, where he's worked on projects for companies like Google, Facebook & Slack. He is also the founder and curator of Wine after Coffee and Blend fest.


How Do I Enter?

Entering is easy, being selected as a participant is hard. All you have to do is submit your portfolio. From there, our jury will select this year's participants. Please note, submitting your portfolio doesn’t guarantee status as a participant.
